Cariboo Chilcotin Conservation Society’s Forest Fridays
What they do: Cariboo Chilcotin Forest Fridays is a program for children age 0-9, along with their caregivers, to engage and connect children and families with experiences and materials in Nature to engage children in learning through play. Research has shown time and again that children who are connected with their families, environment, peers, and nature will naturally build deep social relationships, a sense of belonging as well as a natural sense of wonder, curiosity, and interest in the world around them, setting them up for a successful community relationships and a natural sense for Conservation.

What they do: A wild oasis in the heart of the urban landscape Cared for By the Williams Lake Field Naturalists. Scout Island is a nature sanctuary-- wildlife and habitat are protected. It is an important wildlife viewing area where people can enjoy and learn about nature in the Cariboo-Chilcotin. It offers nature programs for all ages.
